Late war canvas/linen construction olive drab field cap used by the Japanese army until the end of the war. Above its short reinforced visor, made of the same material as the body, is a separately applied wool star. The doubled, leather chin strap is complete with its two adjustable sliders. The strap is torn at the side at the button. Two reinforced eyelets are to either side of the 4cm vertical slash to the reverse of the cap, bound together by an adjustable tie string, this string is torn and the seam is split a bit. The interior is fully lined and has a original ink stamp that is illegible. Complete original sweatband. Roughly a size 56. A great piece of history that will be prized in your collection!
