Here's a textbook Model 1938 TENO Officers Dagger out of an advanced collection. The blade is a near perfect example. The blade has excellent crossgrain, there are no nicks to the edges and the tip is perfect! The maker mark is darkly etched in place just below the TENO eagle. The obverse is stamped with the low number "1803" just under the swas on the crossguard. The blade rates Exc++/MN. The pebbled black leather blade buffer is in place. The crossguard is truly a beauty with great plating and best of all most of the factory burnish remains. The trylon grip is perfect! The pommel has the same excellent plating with the perfectly formed cog teeth. The dent-free scabbard has just a bit of wear and retains most of its deep dark black burnishing.. The throat is fairly thick and is stamped "1803" matching the scabbard. The throat is retained by a single unturned reverse screw. The portepee is completely original.
