Here we have a Hitlerjugend Anfängerklasseabzeichen by RZM M1/63 - Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid! The Hitler Youth Marksman Badge was awarded to members who successfully shot the correct amount of target points in the prone position with weapon (.22 caliber rifle) supported/unsupported. It is constructed out of a multi piece die struck bronze base that has been silver washed and contains black, white and red translucent enamel work. The obverse depicts a small centrally placed Hitler Youth emblem in front of two crossed rifles which is all in front of a black round target. The reverse is maker marked “RZM M1/63” (Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid) and has a soldered on round plate and well working pin assembly. The enamel work is in excellent condition! It measures approximately 13/16 of an inch in diameter. A great piece!
