I love the Hermann Aurich configuration badges! This piece is a full-back die struck, zinc based, silver washed example. The obverse depicts a rifle and bayonet below a Heer closed winged eagle clutching a mobile swastika in its talons and is surrounded by an acorn and oak leaf wreath that is tied together at the bottom. The reverse of the badge shows the correct buntmetall crimped hinge, crimped round wire catch and pin assembly! They all remain in well working condition. The "HA" (Hermann Aurich) embossed maker mark is in the correct location, (behind the pin). Lots of the silver wash remains. The details are in excellent shape. A beauty example here for the taking! See page 164 of "The IAB" by Weber (He considers these examples to be scarce)!
