SS 8 Year Long Service Medal! It is constructed out of a die struck bronze alloy base that has been factory darkened. The obverse of the round award features two centrally placed SS runes that are surrounded by an oak leaf and acorn wreath that is tied together at the bottom and all lies on a pebbled field. The reverse reads: "Für Treue Dienste in der SS" (For Loyal Service in the SS) and is in front of an "8" and all lies on a pebbled field. To the top is the proper loop and tear drop suspension ring. Nice black burnishing remains. It comes with approximately 11 inches of blue rayon ribbon. It measures approximately 1 ½ inches in diameter. A great piece missing from most collections!
