A beautiful Treudienst-Ehrenzeichen! The 40 Year Faithful Service Cross was awarded to all officials, employees, and laborers at any level of the public service (local, regional or national) who completed 40 years of loyal service. It is constructed out of a die struck tombak base that has been gold gilded and contains black enamel work. The obverse features a pebbled pattee style cross that has an oak leaf wreath visible through the corners and a centrally placed black static swastika / "Fur Treue Dienste" (For Faithful Service) to the reverse. To the top is a soldered loop and ring which holds approximately 3 1/2 inches of folded blue rayon ribbon and a stitched on well working brass based gilded pin assembly. The award measures approximately 1 5/8 inches wide and tall. The gold gilt wonderfully shines in the light and the enamel work is 100%!
