We have here a 2nd pattern (1936-1939) Deutsches Jugendfest / Reichsportwettkampf badge! It is constructed out of a die struck aluminum-alloy base that has been silver washed and black burnished. The obverse shows a closed winged HJ eagle clutching a Hitler Youth diamond logo in its talons which is above a half oak leaf wreath with a bannered "1937" to the center-bottom. The full back reverse has a crimped on well working steel pin and is maker marked. It measures approximately 1 1/16 inches tall by 5/8 of an inch wide. Nice!
