Nice dagger with a personalization. This has super blade with lots of crossgrain. It retains a beautifully executed A. W. Jr. Solingen maker mark and is seated through a buffer into the solid hilt! The blade rates an easy Exc++/NM with just a few dots of age. The silver plated scabbard provides wonderful detail throughout with the hand enhanced bands and random pebbling throughout. The scabbard retains its original throat retaining screws and remains completely dent-free. The unique Wingen crossguard is crisp with beautiful details throughout especially to the eagles wings, talons and wreath. It is plated with an excellent finish matching all the other components. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns throughout. So I've been starting at this grip for a while. I'm tempted to call it a glass grip as it does have some of that translucent look to it. I'm going to stay safe and call it trylon. It remains completely crack and chip free! This one comes with the original owners initials to the reverse of the crossguard! Includes a nice portepee. Truly a great piece, I would jump on it before someone else does!
