Another one by a popular General Assault Badge maker: Rudolf Karneth & Sohn! It is constructed out of a die struck zinc base that has been silver washed. The obverse depicts a closed winged eagle, clutching a mobile swastika within its talons, above a crossed model 24 grenade and K98 bayonet. This is then all surrounded by an oak leaf and acorn wreath. The reverse shows a semi-hollow back with a round wire crimped catch and a crimped/soldered ball hinge and round wire pin. It retains good detail with finish loss tpo obverse. See page 120 of "German Awards of WWII" by Heukemes.
