A Hitlerjugend-abzeichen in Gold by Deschler & Sohn of München. The Gold Hitler Youth Honor Badge was introduced on June 23rd 1934 by Reichsjugendführer Baldur von Schirach. It was awarded those in the HJ, DJ, BDM and NSS who had maintained unbroken membership prior to the first National Youth Rally at Potsdam (1-2 October, 1932). It is constructed out of a die struck tombak base that has been gold fire gilded and contains black, white and red enamel work. The rhomboid diamond shaped obverse depicts the Hitler Youth logo, which consists of; a black mobile swastika above a gold square diamond which is surrounded by alternating white and red translucent pebbled quadrants and is all surrounded by a golden border. The full back reverse is marked “A”, numbered: “111963” and maker marked: “RZM M1/52” (Deschler & Sohn, München). It also has a vertically soldered on rectangular plate well working pin assembly. It measures approximately 1 3/16 inches tall by 11/16 of an inch wide. Beautiful enamel work and gold gilded! One you won't want to miss!
