Here we have a Model 1933 SA Dagger (Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch) by F. Plucker Solingen. The blade on this one has been cleaned but the etch remains nice and dark. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates a Exc++. The brown repainted scabbard looks good. It is dent-free. The finish is good while retaining all it’s screws. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great! The ball has a wee bruise to the very bottom and continues to remain round. The scabbard / crossguard fit is near perfect and closes with a snap! The crossguards match the scabbard fittings in wear, color and patina. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped “Nrh” on an angle, the H is not visible. The grip / crossguard fits are perfect! The brown hardwood grip looks excellent. There are a few pressure marks but no flakes, cracks or chips. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. A good example of a rare maker, (rates 9 on McSaar).
