Check out this matching Type 95 Variation #2A NCO Samurai Sword by Nagoya Arsenal . Unusually good paint to the grip on this. The slightly curved, 27 1/2 inch long, single fullered, machine made matte blade on this one looks good. It has some scuffs, age and a wee bit of pitting right at the tip. A beautiful inspection stamp and serial number "100154". A perfect fit and tip. The blade rates Exc+. The scabbard is steel (exterior) and brass (interior) based and has been brown painted. It retains 95% paint coverage showing evidence of period wear. It continues to remain completely dent free, has a nice looking drag, scabbard ring and the throat retaining screw remains intact! The throat is also marked "100154" matching the blade. The scabbard is secured to the hilt with the push button locking mechanism. The Tsuba is constructed out of a black painted iron base. The cast aluminum based "wrap pattern" grip is brown and yellow painted. 95% of the paint remains intact. The sarute is steel. Finally a post-war tassel is included.
