A HJ Postdam-Abzeichen 1932 by F. Hoffstätter of Bonn. The Postdam Badge, instituted September 1932, was issued to all Hitler Youth and BDM spectators (bronze) and participants (silver) who attended the 1st NS-Reichsjugendtag at Potsdam on 1st and 2nd October 1932. It is constructed out of a die struck bronze base that has been bronze washed. The rectangular shaped obverse features a wreathed stagnant swastika above the crossguard of a downward pointing broad sword. The sword is above a pebbled backing that reads: “NS 1. Reichsjugendtag 1932”. The full back reverse is maker marked: “F. Hoffstätter, Bonn” and “Ges. Gesch.”. It also features a vertically soldered on rectangular plate that holds a well working pin assembly. It measures approximately 1 15/16 inches tall by 15/16 of an inch wide. Get both the bronze and silver!
