The die-struck silver medal takes the form of an eight-pointed star with enamels in small circles, with even smaller circles marking the intersections of the edge lines, forming a stylized necklace. To the center is a raised, silver "mirror" on blue enamel on a pebbled background. Reverse features kanji characters impressed to it. The wide ribbon suspension ring remains. Fed unto the ring is a 4cm wide ribbon which has two yellow/orange stripes on either edge. The ribbon is worn but undamaged, complete with correct hardware. The exterior of the black lacquered wooden case has a column of gold painted kanji characters to its cover. A hinged alloy closure device corresponding stud is to its forward edge, and a wide alloy hinge is along its rear edge. There is a modern identifying sticker to reverse. Finally included is a photo of a guy wearing the award.
