Early SA Dagger by J. A. Henckels

Please note this item is no longer available and you were redirected to our Archives.

A quality Early Model 1933 SA Dagger from the Vet's family by a knife maker still in business today: J.A. Henckels of Solingen Zwillingswerk. The blade on this one is bright with some stain. The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and "J.A. Henckels of Solingen Zwillingswerk" maker mark are crisp and beautifully executed! The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit remains nice and tight! This blade rates a solid Exc+. It shows minor age spotting and some pitting right at the obverse crossguard. The scabbard is awesome having 75% of tghe factory lacuer remaining on top of the anodizing. The scabbard fittings match the crossguards. The ball is perfect and all four scabbard screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Wf". The brown hardwood grip looks good! It has flaking next to the crossguard fits. The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 90%+ of its enamel. Included is a unique but period, (likely made up by the SA guy) hanger system. This is how it came in, this is how I sell it.
