Early Aluminium Army Belt Buckle by Schroder

Here's a nice aluminium, single piece, Army belt buckle. The obverse depicts an embossed closed winged eagle griping a swastika in its talons. The eagle is above a half oak leaf and acorn wreath and underneath: "GOTT MIT UNS" (God with us). The wreath and motto are in front of a decorative line type pattern which is all encircled by two twisted ropes. The prongs and catch remain in excellent condition! The buckle is unmarked but the distictive reverse catch set up and eagle's head give the maker away as a Schroder. The buckle retains good pebbling. A rare buckle awaiting your collection!
