A Minty - Reichsarbeitsdienst der weiblichen Jugend (RADwJ) Erinnerungsbrosche in gold 1938 für und Stabsoberführerin by F. W. Assmann & Söhne of Lüdenscheid. This was awarded to women between the ages of 21 and 35 who had passed their tests and gave honorable service to the RADwJ. It is constructed out of an injection molded zinc-alloy base that has been gold gilded. The oval shaped obverse depicts the RADwJ emblem (a mobile swastika above two sheaths of wheat), surrounded by a decorative circular lined pattern, which is again surrounded by (and bordered in) a decorative twisted rope coil patterns, all above a pebbled backing. The semi-hollow reverse is maker marked “A 38 RADJ”. It has a well working peened on horizontal pin, hinge and catch assembly. It measures approximately 1 3/4 inches wide by 1 5/16 inches tall.
