Luxembourg VDB Membership Pin by L.G.S.

A Luxembourg Volksdeutsche Bewegung (VDB) Parteiabzeichen by Louis Gottlieb & Söhne. It is constructed out of a die struck nickel-silver base and contains multi-colored enamel work. The semi-vaulted obverse depicts a red translucent pebbled swastika on a white backing, which is then encircled by a silvered colored inscription that reads: “Heim Ins Reich” (Home in the Realm), on a solid black backing. The full concave reverse is maker marked: “L.G.S.” and has a soldered on round plate pin that holds a well working pin assembly. It measures 1 inch in diameter. The enamel work is shows cracking and chips, yet remains 90% intact. A rare find!
