DAF Leader “Oberlagerführer” Armband

Deutsches Arbeitsfront Ärmelstreifen für Oberlagerführer. Persons as the Oberlagerführer, Lagerführer etc. from the Führungspersonal were active at camps were (foreign) workers were housed, due to the Arbeitseinsatz in so-called Gemeinschaftslager during the war. It is constructed out of a red wool base that has a separately stitched white rayon roundel and a stitched on two piece black rayon swastika. The top and bottom edges have been folded over and stitched together. The back has been stitched to size. To the top is a stitched on “Oberlagerführer” (Camp Group Leader) orange wool cufftitle. It features in white cotton stitching “Oberlagerfuhrer” flanked by two DAF emblems all horizontally bordered in a think line. Minor mothing to the reverse of the cufftitle. It measures 15 x 40 cm. A very rare quality example!
