Wow! Is the the coolest thing you'll see today? This is huge and has a ton of work in it. Look how each section is separately sewn in place. There are some stains and soil and wear. There is no major damage a few wee holes Look at the lanyards, see the wear? Love this stuff! This has a Japanese sewn in tag. I asked the previous owner about any history. It was purchased from Manion's manyy years ago in the age of paper catalogs That flag is a Japanese naval vessel flag. It was taken from a bombed Aircraft carrier in Kure harbour (likely the IJN Katsuragi IJN Katsuragi). An American naval officer took it from the flag locker in 1946. Ok, so I do not have any documentation to back up the story soo I just add it for interest. Buy this for what it is. These are super-rare because most of them are at the bottom of the Pacific.
