German WWII > Belt Buckles > SS >
A beautiful SS (Schutzstaffel) EM/NCO Belt Buckle by Overhoff & Cie., Lüdenscheid, that was introduced in 1927. The buckle is constructed out of a die struck steel base that has been silver washed. The obverse depicts an SS eagle with its tongue sticking out and outstretched wings, clutching a centrally placed wreath static swastika in its talons. The eagle is above the SS motto: "Meine Ehre heißt Treue!" which is in front of a rough textured background that is surrounded by two twisted ropes in a circle. All of this lies on a smooth rectangular background. Just enough wear so you know it was there!
