A nice added feature to see the stag grip plates. The bright plated blade on this one is in excellent condition! The stamped “C. Gustav Spitzer Solingen” maker mark is beautifully executed. The plating gives it an excellent mirror like finish. It has a solid fit and sharp tip. The blade rates NM. It shows minor surface scratches throughout. The original brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard retains 99%+ of the original paint and it continues to remain completely dent free! The original throat retaining screw remains intact and unturned. The scabbard fits the hilt perfectly! The nickel-silver plated hilt looks excellent! The button continues to function well. The multi-toned stag grips plates are a beautiful feature! No cracks, chips or splits. They are tightly secured with two rivets. This piece comes with a crazed black leather frog. A great dress bayonet with a frog and stag grip plates!
