A rare piece at a great price! The acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto is somewhat lightened from cleaning. The "RZM M7/10 maker mark with the 1st variation double oval Henckels logo are both crisply executed. For those of you who like to learn here is the second vatiation. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a sharp point! traces of crossgrain remain visible. The blade rates Exc. It has darkened and MAY clean brighter, all I've done is wipe of the crap that was on it when it came in from the family. The dark brown scabbard has good paint with a small dent to the lower reverse body. The nickel plated steel based fittings have 99% plating intact. The ball has a bump to the bottom and all four screws remain intact! The nickel plated zinc based crossguards suffer some oxidizing and a hairline at the nut. No it's not going to break unless you mess with it! They do have plating loss / spotting. The brown hardwood grip is chip-free but these is a hairline up from the roundel. It still looks good though. The nickel eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. Nope not perfect but it's rare and exactly as it arrived and untouched.
