Well here's a great matching example! The dark blued blade on this one looks excellent! The tip and fit are both perfect and there is no sharpening or damage! The front of the blade is stamped 2939, the back, WKC and 39 to the spine indicating the year of construction (1939) and the manufacturer (WKC). The stamps exactly match the scabbard. The blade rates a solid Exc++. It shows a bit of bluing loss throughout. The steel based, black anodized scabbard has a spot of wear down to the base to the lower side and normal wear but that's about it! It remains completely dent free! The single side screw remains tightly intact. The scabbard sits securely up against the hilt. The hilt looks great! It has a few minor pressure marks throughout yet retains a nice and dark anodized finish! The brown/black bakelite grip plates are in beautiful condition! No cracks, splits, chips or damage! The button works properly. This piece is profusely inspection stamped as one would expect. Included is a 1941 marked frog. Overall this one is in excellent shape throughout!
