A Verdienstkreuz der Bundesrepublik Deutschland am Bande 1955 by Steinhauer & Lück of Lüdenscheid. It is constructed out of a die struck brass base that has been gold plated and contains black and red enamel work. The obverse features a Federal Republic German national eagle on a round gold backing above a red pattée style cross. The full back reverse is gold plated. It measures 2 1/8 inches square. Comes housed in its appropriate issue case.
