A Transitional - Nationalsozialistische Parteiabzeichen by RZM 15 (Ferdinand Hoffstätter of Bonn am Rhein). These were available for private purchase / given (HJ/BDM) to individuals after they had joined the NSDAP. It is constructed out of a die struck tombak base that has been silver washed and contains red, white and black enamel work. The round shaped obverse depicts a black mobile swastika on a white backing, encircled by: “NATIONAL-SOZIALISTISCHE - D.A.P.” on a red translucent pebbled backing. The slightly concave reverse shows a soldered on round plate pin assembly that remains in well working condition. The back is also marked “RZM 15”. There is some patina to the enamel work yet it still remains in great condition. The pin measures approximately 15/16 of an inch in diameter. A good transitional one!
