Hitler-Jugend Koppelschloß by RZM M4/38 (Richard Sieper & Söhne, Lüdenscheid). Introduced in 1936. It is constructed out of an injection molded aluminum-alloy base that has been silver washed. The obverse roundel depicts a closed winged HJ eagle clutching an HJ diamond within its talons on a pebbled round background. Above the eagle is the Hitler Youth motto reading: “Blut und Ehre” (Blood and Honor). This is then encircled by detailed lines which are enclosed by two twisted ropes and all lies on the smooth rectangular background. The reverse is maker marked “RZM M4/38. It features an intregral catch and aluminum-alloy pin/post sleeve and prongs. It shows minor scratching throughout. The details to the eagle, motto and roundel are superb! The buckle measures approximately 2 7/16 inch wide by 1 7/8 inches high. A nice one!
