One with all the accessories and direct from the Vet's family! The plated blade on this one is near mint. just showing a dot of age towards the reverse tip. The plating gives it a clean mirror like finish. The reverse clearly displays the crisp stamped Thermometer "Horster" maker mark. The tip comes to a perfectly sharp point and the fit is solid! The brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard is in nice shape with just some honest wear to the side from honest period wear. It shows minor oxidization spotting and spidering yet continues to hold 90% paint coverage and remains completely dent free! The original throat retaining screw remains intact and the ball is perfectly round. The nickel-silver plated hilt looks great! It shows minor oxidation to the lug yet holds 99%+ plating coverage! The black checkered bakelite grip plates are perfect! They are tightly secured to the hilt with two steel rivets. The button continues to work well! This one comes with a nice undamaged portepee and an original but crazed frog. A great piece that has never been cleaned, you will be happy with!
