18mm NSDAP Membership Pin

Early 18mm Nationalsozialistische Parteiabzeichen. These were available for private purchase / given (HJ/BDM) to individuals after they had joined the NSDAP. It is constructed out of a die struck tombak base that has been bronze washed and contains red, white and black enamel work. The round shaped obverse depicts a black mobile swastika on a white backing, encircled by: “NATIONAL-SOZIALISTISCHE - D.A.P.” on a red translucent pebbled backing. The slightly concave reverse shows a soldered on round plate pin assembly that remains in well working condition. When I got this the plate and pin were not on it so I super glued it back on. The back is also marked “Ges. Gesch.”. The enamel work is in excellent condition. The pin measures 18mm in diameter. A nice rare variant!
