Original Luftwaffe Leutnant Fliegertruppe Insignia on postwar uniform. The uniform is constructed out of a multi-piece blue-gray cotton material with a light blue silk-rayon inseam. The tunic has four scalloped pleated pockets with silvered aluminum multi-piece pebbled buttoned flaps. The cuffs are the traditional French style. The placket has four silvered aluminum multi-piece pebbled buttons. The Flight Leutnant rank collar tabs are hand stitched on. They are constructed out of a buckram base that is covered in a yellow wool with a hand embroidered bullion Luftwaffe gull above a oak leaf and acorn cluster with a stitched on bullion twisted rope to the exterior. The Flight Leutnant rank shoulder boards are the sew-on type. They are constructed out of a cardboard base that is covered in a yellow wool backing, with a Russian braid silver-flatwire covered cotton string, secured with a multi-piece aluminum/steel pebbled silvered button. The top portion of the collar is lined in a bullion twisted rope. The officer's breast eagle is constructed out of hand embroidered silver bullion/flatwire on a blue-grey wool base that has been stitched to the tunic. The interior features two chest pockets. Above the left breast pocket is a “KKB Koblenz” (Kleider Kammer Bundeswehr - Post War) tag and to inside of the packet there are size markings. Accompanying the tunic is a Grade One Marksman Lanyard. The tunic measures approximately 41 cm across the shoulders, a 63 cm sleeve length and 72 cm to the spine. There are some holes to the interior and one beside the collar tab. It is well worn. A good price!
