Another addition for the WHW (Winterhilfswerk) Germanic Archeology Series! This series showed pre-Third Reich swastikas found in archeological digs, the location it was found and their estimated date of use. It is constructed out of multi-colored brown injection molded bakelike. The round shaped obverse features a dotted swastika surrounded by a dotted border on a brown textured background. The full back reverse reads: "Tordos/Siebenbürgen Nordisch - Indogermanisch Um 2300 V.D. ZTR.". This gives us reference to an old object with a swastika found 2300 B.C. in Siebenburgen (Romania). The melted/glued on steel pin shows some oxidization yet continues to work well. A cool piece!
