Double Decal M35 Navy Helmet by ET-62

Please note this item is no longer available and you were redirected to our Archives.

Here we have a combat worn example of a Double Decal M35 Navy Helmet. The shell is constructed out of a stamped piece of steel sheet metal that has been green painted. The shell has a folded over edge, separately inserted air vents and three split rivets. The interior has an early aluminum liner with spring steel strips, and two square rings. The brown leather liner remains completely intact. The stitching and draw string are original. The shell shows oxidization and paint loss throughout. It continues to retain 85% of its paint, which is glossy. The gold and black Kreigsmarine decal is excellent! 95%+ intact! The trishield is in similar condition. The chinstrap looks good remaining intact but I think the tip is busted off as only 3 holes remain. It is cracked to the underside. The steel buckle works well. The helmet is serial marked "4622" to the back and is also maker marked and sized "ET62" (Eisenhuttenwerk, Thale). A desirable early Navy Helmet!
