British Burma Star with Pacific Clasp

The Burma Star was awarded for operational service in the Burma between December 8, 1941 and September 2, 1945. It is constructed out of brass. The obverse depicts a six pointed star, that has a central design of the Royal and Imperial cypher, surmounted by a crown. The cypher is surrounded by a circle containing the words "The Burma Star". To the top is a loop and ring, holding approximately 6 inches of folded and sewn together ribbon. The ribbon has a clasp sewn on that reads "Pacific", as well as a silver rosette that is sewn on The clasp inscribed "Pacific" was instituted to be worn on the Burma Star's ribbon by those who earned the Burma Star and who subsequently qualified for the Pacific Star. The silver rosette is worn on the ribbon bar to denote the award of the clasp. The ribbon has dark blue, orange, and red stripes. It measures approximately 1 1/2 inches wide by 2 inches tall. Nice!
