Restored - Luftwaffe Pilot Badge Case

Etui zum Luftwaffe Flugzeugführerabzeichen. The case is constructed out of a wood and pressed cardboard base that is covered in a simulated grained blue leather (Lederimitat). To the front is a round plated steel spring loaded push button. To the back is a cloth covered hinge. To the very top is a hand written silver Gothic style script which reads: “Luftwaffe Flugzeugführer= Abzeichen”. The interior-bottom of the case is constructed out of a pressed cardboard base that is covered in a quality royal blue fibrous felt that outlines a pin, hinge and catch assembly. The interior top is covered in a purple velvet above a pad. There exterior shows scuffs and minor leather loss. The case measures approximately 3 3/16 inches wide and deep and 1 inch thick. The back hinge cloth cover has been replaced, the script has been hand written and the exterior looks to have been cleaned. An inexpensive alternative!
