A yellow-tinted double-sided plastic-coated map, printed in colors, one side with Ireland, British mainland as far north as Edinburgh, northern France, Belgium, etc; the verso with Germany and surrounding areas, "overprinted" in red with symbols indicating various features including navigation beacons ("Navigationsfunkfeuer"). Probably used during night-raids as the yellow tint to this flight navigation map was designed to make it easier to read under subdued cockpit lighting. The "waxy" surface meant that chinagraph pencils could be used to plot courses, etc. and then be wiped off once the mission was complete. There is wax pencil marks most likely routing marks for the last mission it was used on. Very cool.
