A nice RZM SS Dagger! The blade on this one looks great! The acid etched "Meine Ehre Heißt Treue" motto and "RZM 1196/38 SS" (Edward Wüsthof Dreizackwerk, Solingen) SS contract number are both nicely executed! Notice the "E" in Ehre, it has the dipping tip that's exactly how it's supposed to be! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! The blade rates a solid Exc++! It shows age grey/spotting and surface scratches throughout and has been cleaned removing some crossgrain. The scabbard on this one looks excellent! The scabbard body is steel based and black enamel painted. It shows age spidering throughout yet has a beautiful dark finish, retains 97%+ paint coverage and remains completely dent free! The steel based nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings look beautiful as well! They retain 98%+ plating coverage! The ball continues to retain its original round shape and all four screws remain intact. The scabbard to hilt fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The zinc-alloy based nickel-silver plated crossguards look good. The black died hardwood grip is wonderful! The common pressure marks yet no cracks, chips or flakes! The aluminum eagle nicely detailed and has a good fit. The SS roundel retains 99% of its enamel and also has a perfect fit! Nice dagger.
