Early NSDAP Membership Pin

An early Nationalsozialistische Parteiabzeichen, likely by the maker: A. Kurbi of Berlin-Steglitz. These were available for private purchase / given (HJ/BDM) to individuals after they had joined the NSDAP. It is constructed out of a die struck tombak base that has been bronze washed and contains red, white and black enamel work. The round shaped obverse depicts a black mobile swastika on a white backing, encircled by: “NATIONAL-SOZIALISTISCHE - D.A.P.” on a red translucent pebbled backing. The slightly concave reverse shows a soldered on round plate pin assembly. It is also marked “Ges. Gesch.” to the back and on the plate as well. The enamel work is in great condition. The pin measures approximately 15/16 of an inch in diameter. A rarer desirable variation!
