A beauty for sure with all matching patina and lots of lacquer!! The bright blade on this one looks great! The acid etched Knight's head, "WKC Solingen" maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is stunning running the full length of the blade. The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is nice and tight. The blade rates NM. The leather buffer pad remains intact. The nickel-silver based scabbard provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling throughout and hand enhanced oak leaf and acorn bands! It remains completely dent free. Look at all the lacquer!!! see how the sides of the scabbard are all silver? That's where the lacquer has protected silver finish from the air. The original throat retaining screw remains intact. The zinc-alloy based, silver plated WKC crossguard provides wonderful detail throughout the eagle's head, wings, wreath and chest. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns. The orange, trylon grip on this one is perfect. Topping this off is a Jeweler engraved reverse crossguard to a doctor, "Dr. E.R."! Don't hesitate, this is the one to get! It comes with the original portepee, it's pretty much shot but I leave these are received! This is a stunning example.
