Urkunde für das Schnellboots Kriegsabzeichen. It is constructed out of a pressed paper base with gold, silver and black paint work, black typewriter ink and is signed and stamped. The obverse reads in black gothic style ink and typewritten ink: “Im Namen des Obervesehlshavers der kriegsmarine verleihe ich dem Matrosenobergefreiten Loewe (Hans) ON. 35222/42 Von Kommando 8. Schnellbootsflottille das Schnellboots Kriegsabzeichen den 1. Mai 1944. Der Führer der Schnellboote Kapitän zur See”. It is also signed by Rudolf Petersen (1905–1983) to the bottom right and stamped to the left with the National seal. All of this is underneath a 1st pattern S-boat Badge, is surrounded by a gold oak leaf wreath that is tied together at the bottom and has “Otto Krohn, Kiel” to the very bottom. There are two punch holes to the left. The reverse is plain. It measures 5 13/16 inches wide by 9 inches tall. It is in beautiful condition!
