Here’s a couple cool tinnies! The one piece was used to commemorate the 1933 pilgrimage to view the Holy Tunic in Trier. The cathedral of Trier houses what is said to be the tunic that Jesus wore before his crucifixion. For more information click here. It is constructed out of a die stamped tombak base that has been bronze washed. The obverse features an embossed tunic above a circular backing with “Trier 1933” to the base and is all above a square thin cross. The hollow back reverse has a vertically soldered on, well working, tombak round plate and pin that is marked “Ges. Gesch”. It measures 1 7/8 inches wide and tall. The other piece was used to commemorate the 1891 pilgrimage to view the Holy Tunic in Trier. It is constructed out of a die stamped aluminium base. The round obverse reads "Erinnerung an die ausstellung des Heiligen Rockes Trier 1891" (Memory of the exhibition of the Holy Rock Trier 1891".
