SS-Dienstauszeichnung. Constructed of gilded tombac in the shape of a swastika; the obverse bearing a set of SS runes within an oak wreath; the reverse inscribed ““FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IN DER SS” (German - For Loyal Services in the SS); on a loop for suspension; with a period original and matching cornflower blue ribbon bearing two hand embroidered gilt SS runes; unmarked, but these medals were produced exclusively by Deschler & Sohn of Munich and Lorenz of Unterreichenbach; measuring 38.06 mm (w) x 37.74 mm (h); weighing 25.1 grams; accompanied by its presentation case; constructed of heavy cardstock with a faux leather (leatherette) exterior; the exterior of the lid embossed with a set of SS runes; measuring 45 mm (w) x 102 mm (h); in overall extremely fine condition.
