Very Early - Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by Ed. Wüsthof of Solingen. This was the earliest Wusthof Hitler youth knife variation. The early blade on this one looks great! The stamped “Ed. Wüsthof Solingen” maker mark and acid etched “Blut und Ehre!” motto are beautifully executed. The fit continues to remain nice and tight and the tip comes to a sharp point. The blade rates an Exc++. It shows surface scratches and age grey throughout. The buffer pad is lost to time. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard is in excellent condition! The majority of its original paint coverage remains intact and it remains completely dent free. The scabbard leather is in excellent condition. It has all of its rivets intact and the snap continues to work well. The steel based nickel-silver plated hilt retains 99% of its plating. The grip plates are black checkered bakelite and remain in excellent condition. Both nickel-silver rivets remain tightly secured. The HJ diamond has some small cracks yet retains 98% of its enamel. A great Hitler Youth Knife you are sure to be happy with!
