Japanese Army Captain Dress Full Dress Tunic

M1894 type dress frock coat and sash. It is constructed out of a black wool base with red piping and silk rayon blend interior. A sewn in decorative, gold bullion bordered collar and cuffs. The placket features seven cherry blossom buttons, the reverse loop has one and the scalloped tail has six, and three smaller ones to each cuff. Interior features a black tag marked “Kafudsimacki Yakuchi”. The shoulders feature loops and holes for the boards. The tunic measures approximately 38 cm across the shoulders, a 55 cm sleeve length and 80 cm to the spine. Included is the red and white striped silk service sash with tassel ends. A nice tunic!
