Early Personalized SS Dagger by Klaas

Here's an early personailized and serialized Klaas! The blade on this one is has some age and evidence someone has cleaned it at some point. The crisp, acid etched Meine Ehre heisst Treue motto and Klaas maker mark are both beautifully executed, providing an excellent contrast to the blade! The blade tip looks perfect, and it has a beautiful fit! Some crossgrain remains visible. The blade rates Exc. The black period repainted scabbard body looks excellent! It continues to remain dent free but shows some scratches and minor oxidation. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great matching the crossguard in color, wear and patina. the top fitting has been engraved, "Von Deinen Sturm Kamenaden 18.3.35". One scabbard screw looks to be a replacement, when, where and who I do not know. The ball retains its round shape but has a wee "kiss" to the bottom. The scabbard / crossguard fit is near perfect and closes with a snap! The solid nickel crossguards look great! The reverse of the lower crossguard is district stamped "I". Just to the right is a serialization number that reads: "259483". The black died hardwood grip is exactly what we expect on an early Klaas with great fits. It has a hairline to the reverse lower. The "hi-neck" solid nickel eagle retains nice detail and has a perfect fit! The SS roundel retains 99% of it's enamel. A nice example!
