An Early Nationalsozialistische Parteiabzeichen by Karl Pfohl of Pforzheim. These were available for private purchase / given (HJ/BDM) to individuals after they had joined the NSDAP. It is constructed out of a die struck nickel-silver base that has been silver washed and contains red, white and black enamel work. The round shaped obverse depicts a black mobile swastika on a white backing, encircled by: “NATIONAL-SOZIALISTISCHE - D.A.P.” on a red translucent pebbled backing. The slightly concave reverse is marked “Karl Pfohl Pforzheim” and “Ges. Gesch.”. It also shows a soldered on round plate pin assembly that remains in well working condition. The enamel work is in beautiful condition. The pin measures 15/16 of an inch in diameter. Purchased by me from the veteran’s family. A very desirable piece!
