Westfalen Verteidigungsdienst Koppelschloß - circa 1950. It is constructed out of a two piece die stamped steel/aluminum base that has been silver washed. The obverse roundel features the Westfalen Coat of Arms (rampant horse on top of a shield) on top of a pebbled background that is surrounded by a laurel leaf and berry wreath that is tied together on the bottom and lies on a pebbled rectangular background. The reverse shows all four pongs that attach the roundel in place, an integral catch and a steel pin/post sleeve assembly that all remain in great condition! It measures 2 7/16 inched wide by 1 7/8 inches high. The buckle shows gorgeous silver wash and detail!
