An Early - Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps (NSKK) Mitgliedsnadel by F. W. Assmann & Söhne of Lüdenscheid. This piece would be worn on the lapel by NSKK members while in civilian clothing. It is constructed out of a die struck nickel-silver base that has been silver washed and black painted. The obverse features the NSKK emblem, which consists of an NSKK eagle, with out-stretched wings clutching a wreathed black mobile swastika within its talons, below a bannered “NSKK”. The semi-full back reverse is maker marked: “A” and patented “Ges. Gesch”. To the center is a soldered on knurled bronze/copper stick pin. The face measures 7/8 of an inch wide by 13/16 of an inch tall. Purchased from the veteran’s family.
