A nice early tapered tang Army Dagger by Tiger with wonderful patina! What more could you ask for! The blade on this one has some age, scratches and a slightly blunted tip. The 1st pattern acid etched Tiger Solingen maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed! No you don't have to take it apart to know it's tapered they all are! The crossgrain is easily visible. The fit is nice and tight. The blade rates an easy Exc+. The large brown leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The nickel silver plated scabbard provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling throughout and hand enhanced oak leaf and acorn bands! It shows period age, wear and the original hand enhanced throat retaining screws remain intact. The early hand enhanced WKC eagle crossguard provides beautiful details throughout the eagle's head, wings, wreath, beak and chest. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed and proud oak leaves and acorns. Early on many manufacturers purchased WKC parts, as is the case here with Weyersberg. The crossguard, scabbard and pommel all match in color, plating and patina. The warm orange trylon grip on this one looks beautiful! It is perfect being 100% damage free!
