Here's a WWII British/Australian Short Magazine Lee-Enfield (SMLE) pattern 1907 bayonet. Most of the markings to the blade are clearly visible, with the 1907 type mark, a makers stamp and various other stamps. The blade is a factory blackened example in excellent condition. The tip is perfect and the fits is tight. The brown leather scabbard is in good condition. There are a few scuffs and pressure marks. The two fittings are blackened steel and have spotting throughout. They are both stapled. The leather is marked "MANGROVITE '44". The scabbard sits tightly against the crossguard. The hilt consists of a round steel press button and internal working spring, two piece wood grips with circular oil hole, secured by two steel screw bolts, steel crossguard with muzzle ring and short quillon. The hilt is in matching condition as the scabbard. The wood grips have pressure marks throughout.
