German WWII > Belt Buckles > Luftwaffe >
A Luftwaffe EM/NCO Belt Buckle by Julius Kremp. It is constructed out of a die struck steel base that has traces of blue/green paint. The obverse features a centrally placed 2nd pattern Luftwaffe open winged eagle clutching a swastika in one of its talons, on top of an oval pebbled background, that is all encircled by a laurel leaf and berry wreath that is tied together at the bottom. All of this lies on a smooth rectangular backing. The reverse is maker marked "IKA 42". The steel prongs and soldered on catch remain intact. It shows oxidization spotting and paint loss. It measures approximately 2 1/2 inch wide by 1 7/8 inches high. Nice detail and a nice maker mark!
